Starting here…

It’s been a crazy journey to where we are today… Lots of things have been hard, oh so hard, but it’s been worth it.

We now realize so many others are walking similar paths – finding out their children have invisible “disabilities” that make life more challenging for them than “normal” kids. We call them superpowers in our house – as in the comic book world, unique giftedness always comes with weaknesses.

So we want to share what we’re learning, how we’re growing, and give our kids a voice too, in the hopes that the things we’ve wrestled with in the hard times will bring hope to you in yours.

Because we’ve realized that you have to find the joy… you have to change how you define “success”… you have to love the kids you’ve been given… you have to learn what it means to really love – and live.

So Kent & I are starting here – building a place where we can reach out to others walking this same road and provide encouragement. Words like “autism” and “ADHD” and “disabled” hit hard, and special needs parenting is hard.

But you aren’t alone.

And these beautiful kids that change how we see the world are worth it.
